The fancy stairs are out, but the first floor layout is done!

In sad news for this particular build, I won't be able to use those fabulous stairs inspired by the Heartland Hollow house. The front door and side room with the front bay window just don't allow for a good configuration of these stairs. I made a mockup wall (omitting the doorway to the kitchen that would have been adjacent to the front door) with the leader stairs in front of the entryway door. This part worked just fine. click images to enlarge

But, on the opposite wall where the remaining stairs go up from the middle landing, there were a couple of issues. First, the stairs wouldn't leave enough clearance room for the doorway to the kitchen. Second, the upper stairs would terminate in the corner by the bay window. This would not only be awkward but would also cut into the portion of the upper floor reserved for the bedroom.
Instead, I will be using a set of Houseworks narrow stairs leading from just inside the entry door toward the open back of the house. It will take up minimal room while still allowing for a staircase, which I personally like for realism.
The adjacent wall will give me more wall space in the kitchen, leaving room for an old time hutch. This library cabinet is just a placeholder, but I already love the layout.
Now the kitchen makes more sense to me not only in keeping with a 1920s feel but also in using the space available quite well.

On the stairs side, the living room layout still works and feels just as cozy as when I had planned to split the stairs.
The layout also makes the best use of the available space.
So, here is the first floor layout in its entirety. :D

Anyway, you could solve the problem of the second flight of stairs terminating in the corner next to the bay window by making it face the back of the upper room instead. Try to picture it going up towards the back of the house, instead of towards the front.
