The Brownstone - parlor fireplace

by brae

Awhile back, I mentioned buying a fireplace lot on eBay.  I sold one Sue Cook piece back on eBay and kept four others.  Two from the lot were the same shape with slight coloration differences.

They are heavy, well made and have crisp detailing.  The material appears to be some sort of translucent resin.  There are no markings or manufacturer details.  The seller indicated that she purchased them in 1996 at The Dolls House Toys Ltd., Covent Garden, London.

The first one has light marbling details and is the one I'll use in the Brownstone parlor on the main level.  It's a large piece that will work well with a tall ceiling.

Its sibling has slightly darker marbling on the columns, and I'll save it for a future build.

I've never seen anything like these before.  They are wonderful pieces.

Beautiful pieces and I see Ophelia approves! I would have incorrectly guessed your using the second one in the Brownstone, so now my curiosity is piqued as to colours in the parlor.

The fire places are really nice Brae. I look forward to seeing how you build around them.
