Spring Fling Fireplace, part 1

by brae

The fireplace plan has been scroll sawed into wood reality.  :D

All of the pieces are still unattached.  I need to apply the final finish to them first.

Huh. I am not seeing it. This is one of those things I'm going to have to wait for the big reveal to ooh and ahh over. Nice scroll saw work!

Exciting! What kind of wood do you use and where do you buy it? Mona

Thank you!!! :D I used basswood from the local hobby store - Michaels in this case. There's a 1/2" foam core skeleton underneath. I thought about cutting it from a larger piece of wood but wanted to use the materials I already had.

Wow! I'm in awe of your precise cutting and how each piece fits. Also I'm imagining a floor to ceiling fireplace and tiles. Can't wait to see it finished.
