My life as a photographer and artist
by brae
If any of you have ever poked around on otterine.com (where I host my blog), you've discovered I am also a photography enthusiast. My website is hopelessly outdated and since I have a regular job in addition to my sewing and miniature hobbies, it languishes still. :\

My dear friend Lyssa is also an artist and while we were sharing some stories, I sent her links to the two online galleries where I sell some of my photography work: Imagekind and American Frame.
This beach photo is the type that happens twice in a lifetime. Literally. I was standing on the beach, having already photographed enough for the day when I heard the sounds of a huge flock of birds. By the time my ancient digital fired up, they had passed and I was heartbroken I had missed it. Not even a minute later, and I heard the sound again...a different flock flew over and this time I was ready! :D

Lighthouses are a favorite of mine, and I've climbed many. Mom and I climbed this one together. I'm going to have to build the dollhouse lighthouse kit one of these years, I just know it!

This sunset photo is hanging in the hallway of my real life home. I spent five days one year on a circle tour of Lake Michigan, and this was one of the stops.

You never know when art will strike - these vintage toys were part of the décor at a café I stopped at for lunch many years ago!

I'm going to print some of these up in mini and list them in my etsy shop, too. I like the idea of blending my past and present works. :D
This one will find its way into the haunted Heritage, I believe.

And I think the last one is perfect for the new house
