Monique found the lamp I was after from this post.  :D  It turns out the lamp is shiny brass.

I wasn't surprised even with the original photo showing a more modern look in silvery grey.  Most dollhouse lamps are in shiny brass, though there are more silver and copper ones on the market recently.

I've painted brass before, but I think the brass doesn't look all that bad.  I usually detest brass, but I don't know if I will go through the trouble of painting this one.  I'll just have to wait for the mail to see it in person!  Thanks again, Monique!

Brass hardware turned brushed nickel

I'm still on the hunt for the fabrics from that post.  I received an email from someone who said she thought she saw one of them in a local fabric store.  My reply to her message was returned as non-deliverable, so maybe the email was typed incorrectly.

And, a big thank you to Sarah for the surprise package of other gorgeous fabrics - I sent you an email, too, but I find that my messages often go straight into the spam folder.  :\
