It's a sickness, I tell you

Some of you have wondered aloud what my next project will be.  Well, I do plan to finish up the side garden on The Artist's Studio.  Additionally, the Heritage still has an unfinished attic, bedroom furniture in need of painting and requires a broken down fence of some sort.  So, that will take up some of the next month or so.

After that, the plan was to break ground on The Brownstone.

I also bought the Charming Cottage kit to participate in the HBS Creatin' Contest.  To that end, I figured one public build and one behind-the-scenes build.  :D  Sounds reasonable.

Then those clever people at Greenleaf released the Spring Fling kit for 2013.

I was certain I would be able to withstand the draw of it.  (You may commence laughing at my naïveté.)

Of course, I instantly had an idea for it.  So, I'm apparently in.  With a second secret build, I'm sorry to say my blog will likely have its off days.  :\  Please bear with me....

It's a sickness, I tell you...a marvelous, wonderful sickness.  :D

Oh boy, are you going to be busy! I do like the look of your Brownstone - that could be a really interesting project and then I scrolled down to the Spring Fling property. What can I say? It's going to be great fun following your imagination with this. When do you start? lol!

I'm looking forward to your Brownstone build! I won that kit (partially assembled) in the auction at Philadelphia Miniaturia last fall. It's a kit I'd had my eye on since the 80s and I was so grateful to get it. (I'm grateful too because googling around for info about the kit led me to your wonderful blog!) I've been pondering how to finish the house--leaning toward turning it into apartments.

Oh well, this is a good sickness to have, it keeps you young and healthy.....of course except for the times when a knife slips or the ladder disappears from beneath you! Enjoy the new build/ builds?! ;-)

Hello Brae, As I am on holidays visiting my family in France, I haven't had the opportunity to congratulate you for winning the contest with your artist's studio. It has been a great opportunity for everyone here to follow the different steps of its creation. Thanks a lot, Brae, for sharing. Now, the Spring Fling Kit 2013 is just great and I can't wait to see what is your plan about it. I'd love to do something like that too. I love the idea of this house on stilt. We have a few in France on the Atlantic Coast. All the best, Patrick

It's a nice sickness to have, Brae! It's one that keeps us going when the going gets tough and one that picks us up when we're down. It's a marvel in disguise. I look forward to seeing where your spectacular imagination leads you.

I'll try to think of some good time saving trick for you, grocery delivery? Start eating/drinking a lot of smoothies? Pick up and delivery dry clean all your clothes this year? LOL. Can't wait to see all the sneak peeks :)

Good on you Brae for having a go at all the comps/challenges. I might pluck up the courage to have a go at something next year. I think the Spring Fling one has a lot of possibilities. I have to admit I can't wait for you to start on the Brownstone though. Ever since I saw a picture of it on your site I've loved that building. Would love to do something similar myself one day. I'll watch you go through the processes first though.

That gives me a great idea for a miniature asylum... I'll have to build a room for each of us, I just ordered the second kit last night.
