Hummingbird shower mural - flowers completed

by brae

I was going to post this last night, but instead I did a swan dive off the step ladder, broke my fall with my face and had to go to the ER.  Oy.  I'm okay - nothing is broken, but I look like a prize fighter and feel like an idiot.  :\
----------------------------------

I finished the remaining flowers, though this time I went with a lighter touch.  This brings the first flowering branches forward and gives some depth to the drawing.

Only the birds remain, but I might do a practice bird in the margin.  If it turns out well (or even not), I can always clip it and use it as a work in progress drawing in the Studio.  :D

Poor Brae! That's horrible. Freak accidents happen when we least expect them. It's a good thing nothing is broken! Take care, will you! It's a good thing you were able to get yourself up!

:)) You aren't getting my mug shot - no way! I'm embarrassed enough just admitting it happened! Thanks for the compliments on the drawing and the well wishes! :>>

Ouch Brae. Nothing to be embarrassed about - we all do these sort of things now and then and I think it is good to admit it. Hope it is not too uncomfortable. The mural is looking gorgeous. Love the colouring of the flowers. Look forward to seeing the birds completed.

You poor thing!! I love the mural. It's so springy, and I'm so excited that spring is almost here. Then we can spray paint whenever we want!

Hi Brae, surprising how things can go from normal to disaster in a few seconds. Glad that you will recover and no permanent damage! Watching hour progress with interest. Regards Janine

Ouch, at least you didn't have any spectators, I well remember the day I slipped on the smooth tiles in our biggest mall and fell down on my back, not funny at all. Hope your face is better soon. The mural is fantastic!

Oh my goodness! Falling off a ladder is not fun. Been there. Done that! Happy to hear nothing is broken. Thanks for sharing the process of your drawing. I'm loving how it has so much depth and color! I'm sure the birds will be perfect!

Poor Brae, I'm glad nothing is broken! Please take care and I hope you are feeling better soon! Don't be embarrassed, we all fall sometimes, I've fallen down the steps of my deck three times if that makes you feel any better ;o) Hugs, *Jeannette

Owie! Be careful! I've done one better and had an iron fall from a shelf onto my head. Pointy side down, of course. We all just need to slllllloooooooowwwwww down. The mural is great. I cannot believe how talented you are!

Thank you all so much for the well wishes! :D And the stories so that I don't feel so alone in my mishaps! :)) I've rested up and am feeling better. Got a clean bill of health from the doctor today, so now it's just a matter of time to heal. I hope to have some new mini items to post this weekend.
