Garage progress

by brae Email

In an earlier post, I showed the technique for lifting the brick surface from the mdf scraps I had left from cutting doorways to the side additions.

I used these to cover the front exterior of the garage addition so it would tie into the house.  I didn't have enough to do the side, so I opted for clapboard siding.  I had painted the minimal clapboard siding between the garage and the main house burnt sienna to make it less noticeable.

I thought that would be too much red for the side of the garage, though, so I went with white for a cleaner look.  Above the door are skinny sticks stained to match the garage door.

The upper trims are not permanently attached just yet, and I still need to paint the railings and posts that will line the top...but I think it is shaping up rather nicely.

My second attempt at electrification is a success!  :D
