Haunted Heritage photo book

by brae

I've listed a new item in my etsy shop.  It's a full sized 8" x 8" hardcover book featuring photographs of the Haunted Heritage built and photographed by me.

It has 20 pages of full color photographs showing the exterior and each interior room as well as a bonus image from a Halloween scene done after completion. I have signed the book as well. :]

A mini write-up

by brae

My blog was featured in the January 2016 issue of Dolls House and Miniature Scene magazine, a UK publication, and they sent me a copy of the magazine as a souvenir.  :]

It's always so flattering to be featured!  :D

Inside the magazine, there were a number of tutorials and even free 1960s printed photographs.  An enjoyable read!

2016 - a year of minis

by brae

I've shown you the Shutterfly books I've ordered before (one and two), but this time I ordered a desk calendar and wall calendar.  The wall calendar was free with a coupon, but the desk calendar I bought.

The desk calendar is roughly 6" x 11" and has a sturdy stand.  On the cover are three photo samples.

Each month has its own photo from my mini collection.  :D  I tried to pick something suitable for the month and season.

The wall calendar measures 8 1/2" x 11" (closed) and is made from high quality paper.  I mainly wanted the desk calendar, but I couldn't pass up the free wall calendar.  To that end, I've decided to have a giveaway for the wall calendar.  :D

It has U.S. holidays, of course, but I am opening this giveaway worldwide.  The calendar has 12 large prints on heavy paper when the year is up (the same images from the desk calendar).  Just leave a comment on this post telling me you'd like to enter, and you'll be in the drawing (make sure to enter an email address so I can contact you -- it won't be published in the comments).  I'll end the entries January 31 so you can enjoy the calendar for at least 11 months of the year.

------
If you are wondering why I don't have the calendars and books printed to sell, they are not cheap even when I buy them for myself (and even with coupons).  By the time I had them printed and shipped to me, the cost to re-ship would be too much even though they are definitely high quality for the money.  Of course, if you are interested, send me an email and we can chat about it.  :]

Another photo book - Walnut Bay Light

by brae

I had another coupon (this time from Joann) for a free 8" x 8" photo book with 20 pages from Shutterfly, so I added the next one to my collection.  This time, I made one for Walnut Bay Light.

Roland and Sanford are featured on the back cover and as the first photo on the inside.  The antics!  :O

While not all-encompassing, these little books are such fun to have.

There's a page or two dedicated to each room and aspect.  You can add pages if you like, but I think this is just the right amount for a little book.

Baxter Pointe Villa in print

by brae

Last month, I received a coupon from World Market for a free 8" x 8" photo book with 20 pages from Shutterfly.  I did some upgrades and ended up spending a little cash, but I now have a lovely hardcover book all about Baxter Pointe Villa.

The quality is wonderful, and I could certainly see myself making more of these for my other builds.

You can choose different layout pages and add text if you want.  I made mine with only photos.

I even included a photo of Baxter, for whom the Villa is named.  :]

I've been working on getting the Villa back to its former glory after the Yes paste failed under the kitchen wallpaper.

Here's the new aquarium for the dividing wall between the living room and kitchen.  :D

More on this to come...
