Incredible! Love it to the bits! Beautiful work!
I am drooling! A perfect project with such an attention to detail from the flower on the door mat to the steel fish on the work counter.
I love it……just what I would die for in 1:1 next to a beach!
I keep learning with you. Your work always looks perfect.
Thanks so much for sharing and teaching.
The projects you work on and create in my mind set a standard of excellence in miniatures, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed viewing these shots, your attention to the smallest detail leaves nothing to the imagination and the way you interpret each stage of construction makes you a perfect tutor.
Many thanks for sharing these.
It is so good that it looks like a mag. I love modern miniatures and your house is amazing, fresh, crisp and cool. A real source of ispiration. Rosanna
This is the perfect haven. How I wish I had a place like that just to get away once in a while! Besides all your talents, Brae, you are a fantastic photographer. Your pics are always so clear.
I’ve seen your house a million times but hadn’t noticed that great doormat. So cute. Nice to see all the beautiful pictures in one place!
how beautiful it is! I am always fascinated by these pictures, although I’ve seen it thousands of times
I want to inform you that on my blog, I wrote the list of participants to swap Christmas! Get to know your partner?
thank you, kisses
Thank you all for your kind encouragement! It means so much to me since I have learned so much from all of you as well. There is so much creativity and beauty in the mini world and I am happy to share my creations with all of you!
It’s a wonderful property, beautifully executed. I love the ocean view and the kitchen shots are so lifelike. You’ve really made an excellent job of this.
This is THE most incredible dollhouse I’ve ever seen! Would that you could decorate my real-life house. You are very, very talented.
Thank you so much!
I’ve seen your etsy shop and remember seeing your Baslow Ranch win the Greenleaf spring fling, but I hadn’t put the two together. I love your work!!! I will be reading your blog all weekend, so much great stuff, so little time. Your Baxter Pointe Villa is just breath taking. Congrats on yet another amazing house.
Aw, thank you!
Amazing attention to detail! Can you share your source for the bikes?
Thank you! The bikes are 1:12 scale Maisto models I bought on eBay some time ago. They are hard to find since they aren’t being made any more, but they do show up on eBay from time to time.
Pea, BPV should totally be in a BH&G magazine if they ever do a “miniature” segment, which they should. Just saying. ?
I’m discovering your blog and your work a little bit more every day….and you are a real master!
I listed it in my favourites!
Congratulations and thank you for being such an inspiration!!

By the way, have you made the villa from a kit? If so, which one?
Yes, this was made from the 2011 Greenleaf Dollhouses Spring Fling kit. This post shows the original kit pieces: http://www.otterine.com/blog/blog1.php/baxter-pointe-villa-2011-greenleaf I used the base kit and two additions to bash it into its current layout. I also added to the depth of the addition, so the end result doesn’t look much like the original.
Brae, after seeing your Camel and Aero Lounge, I just had to check out the rest of your work. Madame, I am truly blown away. Every piece I have seen is stellar. You are a true artist. I hope to see more of your work on our site.
Thanks a million, Bud!
I ran across your work on Pinterest… OMG you are so talented… well done!
Love this beach house!! It’s AMAZINg! Such great details,I’m in love I wanna live there … Love the shadows and the layout … Just adorable! no words can say how beautiful it is! You sure have great talent! Can’t wait to see more !!
Could you please tell me what dollhouse kit you used for this?
Yes, this was the 2011 Greenleaf Dollhouses Spring Fling Kit 2011. It is now called the Downhill Ski Shop after the winner from 2011. I used the main kit and two side additions to extensively change the original layout of the structure.
You can find the main house and the additions here: http://shop.greenleafdollhouses.com/Past-Spring-Flings.html
I, too, LOVE your work, and have seen the interior photos of this house on Pinterest. Seeing the entire house is amazing! I agree with a prior comment that your attention to detail is wonderful. I’m confused a little, though. I saw this on someone’s board of 1:12th miniatures, but later, I saw it on 1:6th scale boards. I’d like to know for sure what scale this is, so that I can correct the links I posted.
Thank you, Ronda! This is 1:12 scale.
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! I’ll make the corrections to the pins. Love, love, love your work! R
Ok, so kill me now. I have just started playing in minis and discovered your work. Is this a hobby? I am curious to know how you tackle life outside this hobby of yours. I’ve come to believe in these short few months that this is truly an obsession for me. I start walking around and seeing buildings and places in miniatures. Thanks so much for such wonderful creations and sharing them so well on the net. You do an excellent job presenting your work and its progress in stages. Hope I get to this point some day…..
Aw, thanks so much! Yes, it is a hobby. I work full time besides, but I try to make time each day for my creative pursuits.
Hi! I just discovered your blog through the Greenleaf site and I am awed by your creations! I’m just starting out in this hobby, and I would someday like to try a modern house - this site will definitely be a great source of inspiration. I just love this house, it reminds me of some beautiful beach houses I have visited at the Jersey shore. Absolutely gorgeous Okay now I’m off to drool over your other houses.
I had to come back and look at this one again! You know you’ve really gotten it right when someone wants to move in (like me!).
Thank you so much!
Your work is stunning! I would love to just move right in. I would love to build more, but haven’t the room. Big question; Where do you put all your finished works or where do you sell them, or are they commissioned pieces?
Thank you! I haven’t sold any houses other than the incomplete Newport to another miniaturist for her to finish for herself. I have them all over the place. Over the summer, I plan to clear out a room and address the display issue. But, I have so many projects I want to still build, I might have to move eventually!!!
