A quiet little Christmas

by brae

In order to get back into the swing of things for the New Year, I've set up a mini scene in the barn of Milo Valley Farm. :] The plain tree is by Lemax bought from Michaels. I decorated it with battery operated lights and small ornaments cut from a miniature garland and glued on one by one.

The refrigerator is an old Hallmark ornament that is battery operated.

Some goodies in there for sure! The only thing it was lacking was cheese, so I added a mini from Debora. :D

One of the snowmen wasn't feeling well, so he took refuge in the freezer for a bit. haaaaaaaaa! (This is an actual detail of the ornament.)

Cookies have been made for Santa (well, to share with Santa).

There are still decorations left over.

April made the box of vintage ornaments (and snowman snow globe on the cookie table).

The mice are a gift from my mom, made by Felting Dreams.

They seem to be having wonderful Christmas dreams.

Wishing you all the best for the holidays and in the coming New Year! Merry Christmas!!! :D

-------

Box of Christmas goodies from M Carmen; glittered ornaments from Mini Fanaticus. Lyssa sent me the veggies, wreath and birdhouse. Vintage fan by The Kummerows. Tall primitive snowman from barblip; snowman on the chest from Patricia Wehmeier Miniatures. Serving platter from Greenhouse Miniatures. Lamp, resin basket and coat rack from HBS. Bespaq side table, bird statue by Jane Graber. Rug from Dales Dreams, doily from Stewart Dollhouse Creations. Rabbit pull toy from D's Miniatures; matches from Wright Guide Miniatures; votive holder from A Pocket Full of Wishes; shutter table from Karen Aird Miniatures.

I made the cookies, wrapping paper, some of the wrapped gifts (some purchased), bowl of icing, Chrysnbon stool, garland, tree skirt, sea chest (in progress), and feather duster.

Hi Brae, smart thinking to have a Christmasscene in Milo Vally Farm, I look forward to your progress on it, I think it looks amazing already. The Christmasscene is really nice too!! So many fun and beautiful mini's and details and that refridgerator, that's the coolest ornament I've ever seen! Sweet little mice, the kind I wouldn't mind having in my house ;). Very merry Christmas to you too!

Merry Christmas! I'm pretty sure we had those Shiny Bright ornaments when I was growing up. I love the fridge...please divulge where you got it or who it's made by. It's a beautiful scene!

Your blog has been an inspiration, and I'm glad I found it. I inherited a dollhouse from my grandparents that they began building about thirty years ago. I love your style, your eye and your workmanship. As I finish the dollhouse that I've coveted since I was a little girl, I come here looking for advice on how to do it. Thank you. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

This post is a great Christmas present to your family, friends, and many, many fans! You certainly don't do anything that is less than perfect. It is nice to see MVF again, too. It was also pleasing to see your Christmas scene set in what may have been a stable at some point in its past... even though I didn't see a manger anywhere. Merry Christmas! Bill
